Conventions of a thriller film

There are certain characteristics or features which define a film as a Thriller, these include:
-Element of mystery
-Voyeurism
-Psychological
Complex twists and plots
-Suspicious
-Exaggerated noises/sound effects
-Serious narrative
-Hidden meaning at the beginning
-Antagonist and Protagonist
-Experimental editing e.g. Parallel, Non-linear, montage
-'Fear of the unknown'
-Crime to be solved
-Sinister music
-Males are dominant
-Females are submissive
-Binary characters: Antagonist and Protagonist
-Protagonist- often has a weakness/ is in peril
-Mirroring and illusion
-Protagonist is isolated
